Occupying a premier position directly on the Wombarra beach foreshore, the project was born from a unique process where the clients engaged two separate architects to develop concepts, ultimately selecting the visionary response of Weir Phillips Architects.
As specialised foreshore builders, Simpson & Co Projects was tasked with translating this ambitious creative vision into a resilient reality. The build required advanced marine-grade structural solutions and a high-performance material palette—including bespoke timber cladding and extensive glazing—designed to endure one of the Illawarra’s most exposed coastal environments.
Our relationship with the property didn’t end at the handover; to this day, we continue to provide custodial care for the residence. This ongoing partnership ensures that the architectural integrity and technical performance of the home are maintained at the highest level, protecting the client’s significant investment in this landmark Wombarra site.
